A practical guide to Yukon Solitaire

Keep the active rule in mind. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

An idea for your next attempt

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

What counts as success

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Work at your own pace.

How to proceed

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Move exposed cards onto suit foundations in the stated rank order.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How to interact with the game

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Check the relevant controls before continuing. Take a moment to read the table.

A closer look at one example

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Watch out for this

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.
